Waldo Avenue Reconstruction

The completed Waldo Avenue project included significant traffic signal upgrades, which were a key element of the overall rehabilitation. Spicer Group focused on improving traffic flow and safety at critical intersections along the corridor. A new traffic signal was installed at Salzburg Road, and right turn lane signals were added at strategic locations to enhance the efficiency of vehicle movement.

The project also involved structural upgrades, with the installation of new steel strain poles and foundations at key intersections. Overhead wires were replaced with modern mast arms, providing a more reliable and aesthetically pleasing signal system.

Additionally, the project addressed the roadway's overall needs, including resurfacing, sidewalk upgrades, and the replacement of concrete curbs and gutters. However, the modernization and installation of traffic signals to improve traffic flow and safety along Waldo Avenue was an important focus. Spicer Group provided comprehensive engineering services, including design, survey, traffic management, and project oversight, ensuring the successful implementation of the traffic signal enhancements.
