12th Street – Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon

Spicer Group managed a traffic study on 12th Street in the City of Manistee, focusing on the intersection near the Manistee High and Middle Schools. The study evaluated pedestrian movements, vehicle counts, and existing traffic control devices, with the goal of enhancing safety for both pedestrians and drivers. A key recommendation from the study was the installation of a Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon (RRFB) to improve pedestrian visibility and crossing safety.

Additionally, the study included recommendations for updated pavement markings, permanent signage, and a pedestrian crossing signal. Spicer Group also coordinated with local government agencies and school officials to ensure the project met community needs and safety standards.
