Dow Gardens Path Extension and Structure

Dow Gardens in midland offers beautiful scenery and the opportunity for visitors to be immersed in nature. One of the many features available for elderly and handicapped guests is the option of a golf cart guided tour of the Dow Gardens grounds. The pathway used for these tours had limited access in most of the southern area of the gardens. Dow Gardens hired Spicer Group to expand the accessibility of the grounds with a new ADA path. Spicer Group provided all the architecture, survey, and design work for this path project which was also designed to include a platform destination with a shade structure. This helped to enhance the path and its visual experience. The structure allows for a unique rest stop with a view of the pond along the path. The bright red also offers contrast to the surrounding greenery of the garden.
