Jefferson and Main Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement

Past studies showed that the existing 12-inch sanitary sewer along Jefferson Street in the City of Frankenmuth was at capacity and needed to be upsized and replaced if additional development were to happen in the service district. An expansion of a local hotel and water park facility ultimately triggered the need for the improvements to the sanitary sewer on Main Street and Jefferson Street to be replaced with a larger diameter sanitary sewer.

Spicer Group was hired by the City to this project that consisted of the construction of 900 linear feet of 18-inch sanitary sewer, 1250 linear feet of 15-inch sanitary sewer, and the installation of 21-inch sanitary sewer along Plant Street to replace undersized and old sanitary sewer lines in the City-owned system. Because of traffic concerns, construction on the project took place in three phases. Spicer Group was responsible for design, permitting, bidding assistance, survey, traffic planning, and construction administration on this project.
