I-75 from Hess Rd to I-675 South Junction

Spicer Group provided full-time inspection and material testing services and as-needed engineering assistance for the reconstruction of I-75 from Hess Road to the South junction of I-675. This project also included the reconfiguration of the interchange at I-75 and M-46.

This project was built utilizing the Design-Build process with is a part of MDOT’s innovative construction contracting methods. The project involved the placement of nearly 30,000 cubic yards of clay to backfill the depressed section of I-75 to be on grade with the new roadbed.
