Old State Road and Surrey Road

Since 2020, Spicer Group has provided engineering support for the Clare County Road Commission, assisting with various projects such as surveying and permitting for the Cedar Road culvert over the North Branch of the Tobacco River, hydraulic modeling for Mill Pond Dam/Vandecar Road, and work on bridges and roads, including Mostetler Road, Claroskee Road, Kapplinger Road, and Stockwell Road. Additional services include contract reviews, research and design for road and bridge projects, board meeting representation, and grant compliance.

For the Old State Road and Surrey Road project, Spicer Group oversaw engineering and construction observation for 4.5 miles of roadway improvements. The work included HMA overlay, trenching, aggregate shoulders, pavement markings, and permanent signage. The $849,954 project focused on maintaining traffic flow and ensuring safety during construction on Surrey Road (M-115 to Old State Road) and Old State Road (Maple Grove Road to Scott Drive).
