Frankenmuth Heritage Park Off Weiss Street
Spicer Group assisted in the development of the universally accessible canoe/kayak launch at Frankenmuth Heritage Park Off Weiss Street. The project aimed to establish a designated and accessible launch site along the Cass River, providing essential amenities such as parking, wayfinding signage, and restroom facilities.
Situated within a sprawling 35-acre park with over 3,000 feet of river frontage, the Heritage Park offers a diverse range of recreational features. These include the Kern Community pavilion, four picnic pavilions, three ball diamonds, playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, and a riverwalk pathway. Notably, the park caters to kayak and canoe enthusiasts with its specialized launch, emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity.
The park ensures a comprehensive experience with amenities like restrooms, drinking water facilities, playgrounds, picnic areas, and pavilions/shelters. Spicer Group's design of the canoe/kayak launch allows this location to be one of the many stops along the Cass River Water Trail, a popular paddle route for canoe and kayakers.
