Frankenmuth Tennis Courts Project
The Frankenmuth School District wanted to create an eight-court tennis facility in a new location to replace their existing, smaller, four-court facility. This would allow the district to hold competitions at a central location between the middle school and administration offices located on Genesee Street in Frankenmuth. Spicer Group worked with the school district to design the new eight-court location. The tennis courts were broken up into two four-court sections and placed between the middle school and administration offices. This project included performing a survey of the site for boundaries, contours and utilities, a geotechnical analysis of the soils on site, the layout and design of eight tennis courts, a ten-foot-high coated fence with wind break, drinking fountains, 15 exterior light poles, a surface and under-court drainage system, and an area for bleachers and landscaping. Spicer Group also assisted the school district with project bidding and construction administration.
