Ford Lake Park Tennis and Pickleball Courts Project

Ford Lake Park, located on S. Huron River Drive in Ypsilanti Township, was home to tennis courts that had surfaces past their useful life. The courts were experiencing surface cracking and general wear. Spicer Group assisted Ypsilanti Township with applying for grant funding from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Land and Water Conservation Fund. The Township was awarded the funding, which was used for a project to replace the surfaces of the tennis courts. The Township decided to replace the courts since Ford Lake is a popular recreation area that is centrally located. After assisting with grant administration, Spicer Group also provided all bidding assistance and construction administration for the replacement of the tennis courts and addition of the pickleball courts.
