Grant Writing

Since 2011 Spicer Group has assisted in writing nearly 130 recreation grants totaling $34,672,690 worth of funding success. We have worked hard to identify and capture as many funds as possible to help bring community visions to life. The funding awarded goes towards anything from parks and playgrounds, to trails, splashpads, streetscapes, land acquisitions, waterfront piers and so much more! We are passionate about helping our clients implement all types of projects and improving the area for residents.

Spicer Group has designed and provided construction administration for many of the projects that have received grand funding as well. Listed below are projects we successfully acquired grant funding for in 2022.

Lake Lansing Park North Boardwalk and Trail, Ingham County: $500,000

MSU to Lake Lansing Connector Trail, Ingham County: $300,000

Sebewaing Village Park Playground, Village of Sebewaing: $1,000,000

Hawk Island Park Boardwalk Replacement Phase 3, Ingham County: $300,000

Riverwalk Trail and Crooked Bridge Restoration, City of Bay City: $300,000

Finn Road Park and Water Access Improvements, Hampton Charter Township: $253,000

Independence Park and River Access Improvements, Bangor Charter Township: $210,100

Bennett Park Renovations and Water Trail Access Improvements, Hamburg Charter Township: $300,000
