Bear Lake DPW Building
The DPW building, located off Virginia Street in the Village of Bear Lake, was primarily used to house equipment such as work trucks, tractors, and snowplows. In recent years, the building has had many structural concerns, including a large hole in its flooring preventing vehicles from being parked in it. Spicer Group was hired by the Village to provide bidding assistance, boundary and topographic survey, building design, construction staking, soil borings, and construction administration services to construct a new DPW building. The new building included four service bays, a break room area, a mezzanine, and a restroom. The new facility included energy efficiency HVAC and lighting. The building was funded through a USDA Rural Assistance Loan and was complete summer 2020.
