Cartier Park

Cartier Park Campground in the City of Ludington is a scenic 80-acre natural area located along the Lincoln River. The Cartier Park campground is a popular location for outdoor activities including boating, camping, biking, hiking, fishing, and more. The City of Ludington was seeking to have both the North and South Restroom Buildings renovated to include new and more efficient upgrades as well as to provide ADA accessibility to the facilities. Prior to construction the project received a Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund Development Grant for $300,000. Spicer Group assisted the City with survey, geotechnical testing, and site design, along with grant administration assistance, and engineering design for this project.

The additions and upgraded designs included improvements to entry doors, new sinks and faucets, exterior water fill stations, exterior ADA drinking fountain and bottle fill, brass plumbing faucets, new toilets, water heating boiler array with recirculation, sand separators, waste interceptor for dishwashing stations, new interior and exterior lighting electrical service panel distribution, new smoke detectors and a new bathroom and shower exhaust system.
