Ingham County Invasive Species Management Program
Spicer Group worked with the Ingham County Drain Office on a comprehensive approach to tackling invasive species identification, reporting, documentation, and treatment needs. This partnership went beyond just these two entities; it involved a network of stakeholders including treatment providers and local partners like the Mid-Michigan Combined Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA).
Within this program, various invasive species such as aquatic invaders, phragmites, and Japanese knotweed, which are prevalent in Ingham County properties and drain rights of way, are diligently managed. The emphasis lies not only on identification and documentation but also on implementing appropriate treatments to mitigate their impact effectively.
