Bank Intercounty Drain Continuous Monitoring Program

The ongoing Bank Intercounty Drain improvement project in Eaton and Ingham Counties aims to enhance capacity, regulate water flow to the Grand River, and mitigate flooding. As part of the design phase, field data collection is crucial for engineers to assess the functionality of the existing storm drainage system during various runoff events. This data will inform adjustments to project models to better align with real rain events and observed stormwater conditions in the project area. Equipment installed includes 6 web-connected level loggers, 1 web-connected rain gauge, and 5 Area Velocity-doppler flowmeters, with data downloaded biweekly.
