Saginaw Children’s Zoo Concessions and Restroom
Spicer Group spearheaded a transformative initiative at Saginaw Zoo, focusing on functional enhancements for visitor convenience. Their role involved design, engineering, and overseeing the construction of a consolidated Restroom-Concessions-Pavilion Structure and the renovation of an existing building, alongside site improvements.
The Saginaw Children’s Zoo embarked on a comprehensive series of improvements, allocating $3 million over 3-4 years. The primary phase aimed to replace outdated facilities with a unified structure housing Food Service (Concessions), a 'Central' Restroom, and a Seating Pavilion—a move intended to streamline services and elevate visitor experiences.
Additionally, Spicer Group emphasized inclusivity by introducing Family Restrooms and designated Family Comfort Spaces. These areas catered to families, providing privacy, nursing facilities, and quiet corners. This initiative created a more accommodating and family-friendly zoo environment, setting the stage for a modernized visitor experience at Saginaw Zoo.
