Besser Corporation

 The Besser Company World Headquarters is located just near the Lake Huron shores in Alpena Michigan, 50 miles north of Oscoda. The company is an engineer consultant company that deals with concrete and concrete supplies for customers. The business is a part of many community activities and is continuing to grow more and more. They provide both service and equipment development and were glad to work with Spicer Group again on this project.

Spicer Group was hired to create designs and give professional insight on an addition for Besser at their corporate office. The project involved site design, foundation design, architecture design and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs. There were several phases to go through until construction which included preliminary and final design phases along with the bidding phase.

The building and project addition were reviewed to make sure it was up to all the code standards, floor plans, elevations for the exterior and layout of site were designed. Spicer Group worked closely with the Besser company to provide revisions and feedback as necessary for the designs. The final design phase included a foundation plan, floor plan, ceiling plan, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans. After completion of the designs, Spicer Group continued to check in throughout the construction process and gave feedback when necessary. The project started in 2018 and lasted until 2020.
