Black Lake Resort Sundries
The old fire hall at the Black Lake Conference Center in Onaway, Michigan got a completely new look when it was renovated into a resort sundries store. The store, which was named the Red Pine Market, is located in a wooded area surrounding Black Lake off Maxson Road.
Spicer Group provided architecture and engineering services to help modify the 1,050 square foot building and turn it into a small convenience store for the public and those staying at the Conference Center to use. The building was remodeled to include a restroom, food storage area, sales counter, offices, and a new parking lot. There were also coolers, displays and a beverage center added to help transform the space with the necessary additions.
Spicer Group conducted building visits to collect data and develop the drawings for the project. Then, during construction, the original building underwent demolition and was reconstructed which included engineering of the floor, electrical, landscaping, roofing, grading, ceiling and HVAC plans.
