Davis Road Reconstruction - Saginaw County Road Commission

Spicer Group provided design engineering services to the Saginaw County Road Commission for a project to reconstruct 2.08 miles of Davis Road, from Tittabawassee Road to Pierce Road. Davis Road is a two-lane urban minor arterial in Kochville Township with a posted speed limit of 45 miles per hour that carries approximately 2,500 vehicles per day. Commercial, agricultural, residential, and multifamily use properties line this corridor. There are three county drain crossings on Davis Road and two other major branches of county drains along Davis Road. A multi-use path also crosses Davis Road between Trautner Drive and Kochville Road. The rehabilitation of Davis Road includes a new HMA road that is 38 feet wide with 11-foot lanes and 8-foot-wide shoulders. This project included replacing culvertsat the county drain crossings, installing ADA sidewalk ramps at the intersections of Hampton Place and Trautner Drive, culverts and storm sewer, maintaining traffic, permanent pavement markings, and permanent signing. Spicer Group was responsible for providing construction administration and inspection, design engineering, survey services, permitting assistance, and bidding assistance for this project.
