Monitor Township Park

Monitor Charter Township was awarded a Michigan Department of Natural Resources Land and Water Conservation Fund grant for $102,300 to make park improvements to Monitor Charter Township Park on 3 Mile Road. These improvements included several components that added features and increased the safety and usability of the park.

The project included replacing the old grills and picnic tables with new grills and tables, making electrical and lighting upgrades at the existing pavilion, removing old, outdated, and unsafe playground equipment and installing new, universally accessible playground equipment, landscaping improvements, installing new signs at the existing fitness stations, parking and drainage improvements of the west parking area, constructing new walkways to provide access to park features, and adding a boulder barrier around the parking area. Spicer group assisted with grant administration, design of plans for the improvements, bidding assistance, and construction administration on this project.
