Aldrich Street Park Improvements in the Village of Capac

The Village of Capac was awarded a Michigan Department of Natural Resources Passport Grant for $45,000 to make improvements to the 4.1-acre Aldrich Street Park. The Village wanted to develop their public open space to provide a higher quality of recreation opportunities for residents. Spicer Group provided grant application assistance, grant administration, professional engineering services, cost estimates, bidding assistance, and construction administration for this improvement project.

The project included the installation of a new playground area with a safety surface and ADA access, installing an accessible concrete walkway from the parking lot to the new playground and other park improvements, designing and installing a new sand volleyball court, and installing benches.
