M-13, M-47 and M-53 Traffic Signal Modernization

Spicer Group provided full-time inspection and material testing services to the MDOT Bay City TSC for the M-13, M-47 and M-53 Traffic Signal Modernization project. The project involved replacement of the existing traffic signals and upgrading them to the new Box Span configuration. These upgrades also included radar vehicle detection presences stop bar detection system and radar vehicle dilemma zone detector system. All of these upgrades enhance the safety of these intersections for the motoring public.

The project involved:

  • Vehicle numbers through there through the day

  • What Spicer Group was responsible for

  • Explain where the intersections are with road names

  • On m-13 we reconfigured the intersection of 247, state trunkline road, converted to a cul-de-sac, turned into a left turn

  • Include any special funding
